The Experience
Weekdays are productive — cowork by the pool, take calls from a dedicated workspace, and explore Windhoek’s surprisingly vibrant food and culture scene. Weekends bring safari trips, desert excursions, and adventures that most digital nomads never access from their usual bases.
Who It’s For
Remote workers seeking adventure, deep community, and a truly wild work-life balance. Namibia offers a coliving experience unlike anywhere else — vast landscapes, incredible wildlife, and the unique perspective that comes from working in one of the world’s least crowded countries.

Living in Windhoek, Namibia
Namibia is one of the least densely populated countries on earth — 2.5 million people in an area twice the size of Germany. Windhoek, the capital, sits at 1,700m on a plateau surrounded by mountains, with a climate that's dry, sunny, and comfortable (15-30°C depending on season). It's a small, organised city that feels more European than most of Africa.
The country's infrastructure is surprisingly solid. Roads are well-maintained (important when the distances are this vast), the water is drinkable from the tap, and internet in Windhoek reaches decent speeds. Crime rates are manageable with basic precautions, and the city has a growing food scene — German-Namibian bratwurst and beer (the colonial legacy), South African braai culture, and increasingly diverse international restaurants.
What makes Namibia special for remote workers is the access to genuinely wild experiences. Etosha National Park (4-5 hours north) has lions, elephants, and rhinos at self-drive waterholes. The Namib Desert has the world's tallest sand dunes. Skeleton Coast, Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon — these aren't weekend activities in most people's lives, but from Windhoek they become real possibilities.
Etosha National Park safari
Self-drive safari through one of Africa's great game reserves. Lions, elephants, rhinos, and giraffes at waterholes. 4-5 hours from Windhoek — a perfect long weekend.
Sossusvlei dunes
The world's tallest sand dunes glow orange at sunrise. Climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy for views across the Namib Desert. About 4.5 hours southwest of Windhoek.
Joe's Beerhouse
Windhoek's legendary restaurant — game meats (oryx, kudu, crocodile), massive steaks, and cold Windhoek Lager in a quirky outdoor setting.
