The Vibe
Coffee from one of Nimman's many specialty shops, then a focused morning in the coworking space. Lunch at a street stall or Thai cafe for almost nothing. Afternoons are flexible — work, gym, explore. Evenings are the social engine: communal dinners, drinks, and spontaneous plans.
Doi Inthanon (Thailand's highest peak) day trips, Chiang Rai temple circuit, cooking classes, or just getting deep into the Sunday market.
Living in Nimman, Chiang Mai
Nimman (Nimmanhaemin) is Chiang Mai's hip neighbourhood — think specialty coffee, boutique shops, art galleries, and university energy. It's where the cafe-hopping nomad crowd gravitates, and for good reason: a new specialty coffee shop seems to open every week, each one more photogenic than the last.
The neighbourhood sits between the old town moat and Chiang Mai University, giving you walking access to temples and markets in one direction and student-priced food in the other. Soi 1 through Soi 17 each have their own character — Soi 9 is the main commercial strip, while the higher numbers are quieter and more residential.
Chiang Mai's value proposition is hard to beat: a comfortable month costs $800-1,200 all-in, the food is world-class, and the nomad community is deep enough that you'll find your people within days. The only real downside is burning season (March-April), when air quality drops significantly.
Doi Inthanon National Park
Thailand's highest peak at 2,565m. Waterfalls, hill tribe villages, and cool mountain air. A full-day trip from Chiang Mai ($15-20 by songthaew or join a group tour).
Chiang Mai cooking class
Morning market visit followed by hands-on cooking of 4-5 Thai dishes. Dozens of schools in the city — Mama Noi's and Thai Farm are consistently good, around $30-40.
Wat Umong
A forest temple with tunnel-like passages, far calmer than the tourist-heavy old town temples. Monks feed the ducks at the lake. Free entry.

What's included in the price?
Private room with ensuite or shared bathroom, coworking access, utilities, cleaning, and community events. Meals not included — but eating out costs $3-5 per meal.
How is this different from the old town location?
This is the compact Nimman location — 12 residents max, more intimate, surrounded by the cafe and shopping district. The old town location is slightly larger with a different neighbourhood feel.
What's the minimum stay?
One month. This is designed for nomads who want to settle into Chiang Mai, not backpackers passing through.
