The Experience
Arrábida is one of the most beautiful natural areas near Lisbon: limestone cliffs dropping into turquoise bays, Mediterranean forest, and quiet hiking trails. The tree-planting programme is genuine — every stay directly contributes to reforestation.

The Vibe
Mornings are quiet — work from the coworking space or take your laptop to the garden. Afternoons might mean a swim in the pool or a walk through the park trails. Evenings are communal, with shared cooking and long dinners under the trees.
Beach trips to Arrábida's hidden coves, wine tasting in the Setúbal region, or a day trip to Lisbon for city life.
Living in Arrábida Natural Park, Setúbal
Arrábida is the natural park that Lisbon locals keep to themselves. Limestone cliffs plunge into turquoise water that looks more Mediterranean than Atlantic, Mediterranean-type forest covers the hills, and the whole area feels decades behind the Algarve's tourist development. The park is strictly protected — no building, limited access to some beaches in summer — which keeps it pristine.
Setúbal, the nearest city, is a working fishing port with a genuine food scene built around fresh fish and the local moscatel dessert wine. It's not pretty in the Instagram sense, but the seafood restaurants along the waterfront serve some of the best grilled fish in Portugal for EUR 10-15 a plate.
Lisbon is 45 minutes by car or about an hour by bus, close enough for a night out but far enough that you genuinely feel like you've left the city. The Troia peninsula across the Sado estuary offers endless empty beaches and a dolphin population that's visible from the ferry.
Praia de Galapinhos
Once voted the best beach in Europe. Turquoise water at the base of limestone cliffs — access by a steep trail through the forest. Go early to avoid summer crowds.
Setúbal fish market
Buy fresh-off-the-boat fish at the mercado and have it grilled at a waterfront restaurant. Choco frito (fried cuttlefish) is the local speciality.
Serra da Arrábida ridge walk
A trail along the ridge with views over both the Atlantic and the Sado estuary. On a clear day you can see the Berlengas islands.
