Kasbari House · Cooking classes and Darija courses in a Moroccan surf village coliving
The Home
Kasbari House
Kasbari House is a coliving in Tamraght, Morocco — the surf village between Taghazout and Agadir — offering cooking classes, Darija (Moroccan Arabic) language courses, and cultural excursions alongside coworking. A 4.9-star rating across 36 Google reviews.
The Experience
Morocco’s Atlantic coast is warm, affordable, and culturally rich in ways that European beach destinations can’t match. Kasbari House goes deeper than most surf-and-cowork operations by offering genuine cultural immersion: learn to cook tagine and couscous, study Darija with local teachers, and join excursions to souks, Berber villages, and the Atlas Mountains. The surf is consistent year-round.
The Space
A riad-style house in Tamraght with rooms, coworking area, communal kitchen, and rooftop terrace. The village sits between the beach and the mountains, with surf spots in both directions.
Who It’s For
Remote workers who want to learn as much as they earn — the cooking and language programmes make Kasbari House more than a workspace with waves. One of the most affordable colivings in this directory.

Workspace
Work with a Tamraght & Taghazout, Morocco Rhythm
Coworking included with reliable internet.
The Vibe
Mornings start with optional Darija lessons or a surf session at Banana Point, then coworking through the afternoon heat. Evenings rotate between cooking classes where you learn tajine or couscous, rooftop hangouts with mint tea, and the occasional excursion to a nearby souk.
Weekend trips to Paradise Valley, Atlas Mountain day hikes, or exploring the Agadir markets. Some people just surf all day.
Living in Tamraght & Taghazout, Morocco
Tamraght is a small village on Morocco's Atlantic coast, sandwiched between the surf hub of Taghazout to the north and the city of Agadir to the south. The area has become a magnet for surfers and remote workers because the math is hard to beat: consistent year-round waves, daily sunshine, and a cost of living that makes Southeast Asia look expensive.
A coffee costs 10-15 MAD (about 1 EUR), a proper tajine lunch is 30-50 MAD, and you can live well on 500 EUR/month if you cook. The surf breaks range from beginner-friendly Banana Point to the powerful rights at Anchor Point. The cultural layer — Berber villages, souks, hammams, the Atlas Mountains an hour inland — gives it depth that pure surf destinations lack.
Surf Anchor Point
One of Morocco's best right-hand point breaks, a 10-minute drive north in Taghazout. Works best on north swells from October to April.
Paradise Valley
A natural gorge with turquoise rock pools about 45 minutes inland. Great half-day trip with swimming and cliff jumping.
Agadir Souk El Had
One of the largest souks in North Africa — spices, leather, argan oil, and everything else. Bargaining is expected.

The Kasbari Team
Founders
We wanted to build something deeper than a surf hostel. The cooking classes and language courses are there because Morocco has so much more to offer than waves — and we think nomads deserve to actually experience the culture of the place they're living in.
